I’ve always been fascinated by the world of pirates. I decided to create a 3D modeling project on this theme by designing a pirate ship. This allowed me to combine my artistic inspirations with my technical skills, building a coherent, immersive, and detailed environment.

Wireframe modeling

I started by creating the wireframe of the ship — a version without textures, built only from geometric shapes. This step helped me clearly define the ship’s overall structure, proportions, and the layout of its main parts: hulls, decks, sails, etc. This solid foundation was essential to ensure a consistent final render.

Textured render

Once the modeling was validated, I moved on to the texturing phase. I worked on materials to give the ship an aged wooden look, added weathered metal to the cannons, and created slightly worn sails. Realistic textures helped reinforce the authenticity of the render and immerse the viewer in the pirate universe.

The details that make all the difference

What I enjoyed most was adding the small elements that bring the scene to life: barrels, treasure chests, properly placed cannons, ropes coiled around the anchor, and lanterns hanging from the deck. These details added depth to the project and reflected the care I brought to every part of the ship.
