The website for Le Vieux Moulin is a digital showcase dedicated to a care home for teenagers. The main goal was to create a clear and reassuring platform aimed at families, institutional partners, and the young residents themselves. The site presents the different living structures, the home’s values, and the terms of admission.
The client wanted a site that was simple yet lively, human and accessible, with smooth mobile navigation. The site needed to highlight the various living spaces while remaining easy to manage. It also had to adapt to different levels of reading (child protection professionals, families, young residents).
I designed a clear architecture based on tabbed navigation and flexible content blocks using ACF Flexible Content. I developed several reusable components (sliders, galleries, home profiles) and implemented a simple back-office to allow the client to easily update the content. The website is fully responsive and optimized for SEO.
This project helped me strengthen my skills in ACF, particularly in creating flexible blocks, and deepen my understanding of accessibility (contrast, keyboard navigation, ARIA labels). I also learned how to better communicate with an institutional client, structure information in an educational way, and highlight a social structure without using overly cold or formal language.
